HISTORICAL:
Software Development:
Virtual Machines
- Our founders were pioneering virtual machine development in the late 80’s. Their first virtual machine was a PDP-8/s binary emulation used to replace an ailing and unsupportable computer which operated a 165-ton nuclear fuel handling robot. The project was so successful it was reviewed by Rockwell International and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the defueling operation of Nuclear Reactor Plant #85 (Fort St. Vrain). The project operated 7x24x365 flawlessly, instrumental in completing the defueling operation 5 months and 15 days ahead of schedule, saving the operator >$1 million daily in operating losses.
- The PDP-8/s emulation was used in Colleges and Universities to teach assembler to Computer Science students
Macintosh
- Developed some of the top solutions available in the areas of telecommunications, including:
- WireTap 2.0- a complete terminal emulation system supporting over 300 terminals out of the box and including a complete Pascal Interpreter as a process-automation scripting language with the ability for the end-user to program an unlimited number of additional terminals. This product displaced the then dominant Visiterm.
- The only complete Apple Communications Toolbox implementation by any vendor, used by Apple Computers to demonstrate to other firms how the ACT was to be implemented.
- A.R.G.U.S.- The definitive (see review here) RIPTerm solution for Macintosh and Windows computers. Completely 100% engineeringed by our founders to exceed the capabilities of the DOS-only version available from the original developer (TeleGrafx). So successful that TeleGrafx President/CEO purchased our product for his personal use. This product was a pre-cursor to the World-Wide-Web and was used by the U.S. Public School System, U.S. Undersea Department of Warfare, Carnegie-Mellon University, Individuals and more. A working Windows demo can be found here. It’s operation is identical to the Macintosh versio using 90% of the Macintosh original sourcecode. Our coding standards are so stringent it still runs on Windows today more than a decade later.
- TeleVideo-925: The most complete televideo-925 terminal emulation program anywhere on any platform. Used by organizations such as the National Gay and Lesbian Task force to access their databases in IBM mainframes.
- KingCity™: The first real arcade game for the Macintosh that would run on a black-white Mac+ equally as well as it would run on a Macintosh ][. Ultimately ported to the Apple Newton.
- DiskBox™: Software relational database management system prior to SQL databases.
- DiskTree™: Disk Management software
- Contributor to hierarchical menu operations for System 7.
- And many more
